AUCTIONS
Bonhams auction at the RACV Motorclassica Concours d'Elegance & Classic Motor Show will be held on Sunday October 23, with thirty world class motor cars and motorcycles expected to go under the hammer.
Early consignments include a 1967 Rolls-Royce Phantom V Limousine by H.J. Mulliner Park Ward Ltd, one of three ordered by the Commonwealth of Australia for visiting heads of state and royalty. Boasting a number of special features, the Rolls-Royce is expected to sell for between AUD $400,000 and 450,000.
Moving up a gear, Bonhams are delighted to offer a significant piece of Australian motor racing history in the ex-John Player Special/Group 2 BMW 635 CSi Group C, a two times Bathurst veteran formerly driven by the likes of Alan Grice and Denny Hulme. Finished in the iconic black and gold livery, Bonhams anticipate the BMW will fetch between AUD $200,000-250,000.
Other star lots range from a superbly restored Lancia Aurelia B20 GT (estimate $140,000-180,000), a stunning 'nut and bolt' recreation of the legendary SS Jaguar 100 (estimate $150,000-180,000) along with a diverse selection of veteran, vintage and classic cars. For bike enthusiasts, Bonhams are delighted to offer the Velocette collection from the Estate of Leo Andrews, comprising a number of significant examples and a large quantity of spares.
